The airbag emulator can be only used in cars that have no airbag, e.g. rally cars. If you exchange a standard wheel (there is airbag) to a sports wheel (there is no airbag), the airbag warning light on the dashboard will appear and it can not be deleted. After connecting the emulator you will be able to delete the error. 

The emulator MUST NOT be installed instead of deployed airbag!!!

The second use is for diagnostic - install the emulator to the car installation to make sure if the error is caused by damaged airbag or the problem is in electronic car installation. If the error is still on after connecting the emulator that means that the airbag is ok and you should check the car installation and other remaining SRS components. 

INSTALLATION:
The emulator should be connected in place of an airbag.

The installation should be performed by a professional mechanic, knowledgeable in the SRS. We can share our knowledge and experience with you, but should the problem become more complex, you need to possess an adequate knowledge for us to be able to help you.

1. Find the airbag plug.

2. You can fit the emulator directly to this plug or in further car installation as shown in the pictures below.

One way is cutting wires and connecting the emulator to them. In this emulator colors of wires are of no importance.
Please remember to connect the wires with the car installation securely. The best way is to solder wires.

When you solder the wires and PROTECT (INSOLATE) them accurately, connect the plug to the car installation. 

Now connect a diagnostic machine and delete the error.

SOME SIGNIFICANT FACTS:

It is a diagnostic device for testing. It is universally applicable and can be used for all types of airbags: 
- driver airbag,
- passenger airbag,
- side airbag,
- steering wheel airbag.

It sends to the car’s computer information that an airbag is intact. After installation it easilly switches off the airbag/srs indicator and it stays off. 

It does not affect other SRS components. In case of a collision all other properly working original airbags will be deployed!

You can use the emulator in every model of BMW.
