OCS Series Diagnostic Tester - seat occupancy sensor emulator and seatbelt emulator for BMW 5 Series E60 E61 up to 2004/5 with 2-wired seat mat.
Before purchase please make sure the seat occupancy sensor has 2 wires (white and blue).
On E60 E61 2003-2006 there may be both 2-wired or 3-wired seat mat - this emulator fits only 2 wired version.

During the purchase please choose if you need the emulator for European or US version BMW.

The emulators are equipped with connectors - easy installation.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The device is manufactured in the EU and tested.

The OCS series tester is an easy-to-connect but advanced diagnostic device used to find faults in the SRS system. After connecting to the car's installation, it emulates the operation of a functioning seat occupancy mat and sends information to the airbag control unit that an adult is sitting in the seat. In the version with the seat belt buckle tester, the control unit receives information that the seatbelt is fastened.

It is distinguished by its simple construction and uncomplicated assembly but for safety reasons the assembly should be performed by a qualified person with knowledge of SRS systems.

Below is a simplified assembly procedure (detailed instructions with a description of the device - links below):

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Under the passenger seat, find the mat plug (black with 2 wires: white and blue) and connect the emulator plug in its place.

3. Install the seat belt emulator.

3. Clear the error using appropriate diagnostic software - the light will disappear if it was on due to a damaged seat mat (only sometimes is it necessary to clear the error).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

2. The tester is intended for diagnosing issues within the SRS system. By emulating the function of a working seat occupancy sensor and seat belt buckle, it helps confirm or rule out a fault in the corresponding component.

3. If the SRS fault related to the seat occupancy sensor cannot be cleared after connecting the tester, this indicates that the tester has fulfilled its purpose — it confirms that the issue lies within the SRS system itself. This suggests the original seat occupancy sensor is likely functioning correctly, and the root cause may be found in the vehicle’s wiring or the airbag control unit.

4. The tester (emulator) is not an original vehicle component and is not a certified replacement for the factory-installed seat occupancy sensor. It does not have road-use homologation.

5. All work involving the SRS system should be carried out by a qualified professional with expertise in SRS systems.
