IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. A reliable diagnostic tool (an external device connected via OBD2) is essential for identifying faults.
2. The tester is intended for diagnosing issues within the SRS system. By emulating the function of a working seat belt tensioner, it helps confirm or rule out a fault in the corresponding component.
3. If the SRS fault related to the seat belt tensioner cannot be cleared after connecting the tester, this indicates that the tester has fulfilled its purpose — it confirms that the issue lies within the SRS system itself. This suggests the cause may be found in the vehicle’s wiring or the airbag control unit.
4. The tester (emulator) is not an original vehicle component and is not a certified replacement for the factory-installed component. It does not have road-use homologation.
5. All work involving the SRS system should be carried out by a qualified professional with expertise in SRS systems.
