Seat occupancy sensor emulator installation is very easy. Just follow the instructions below:
1. Before fitting the emulator, turn the ignition off.
2. Fit the device in place of the seat occupancy sensor. Cars for European market have mats with 3 wires:
- white: signal
- red: +12V
- brown: GND
The device has wires with the same colours.
3. If the emulator is equipped with the plug, it’s enough to remove the mat plug and fit the device in that place. If the emulator is not equipped with the plug, replace the wires in the plug - white for white, red for red and brown for brown.
For some cars we have neither plugs nor original pins. In such a situation it is necessary to use special connectors or solder wires.
The next step is fitting the seat belt emulator.
1. Before fitting the emulator, turn the ignition off.
2. Fit the device in place of the seat belt buckle. There are 2 wires, usually blue and yellow. Sometimes there can be another colours. In case of any problems with finding the correct plug, find the wire that comes from the seat belt buckle and follow it to the right plug.
Attention! Do not confuse the seat belt buckle’s wires with the seat belt tensioner’s wires!!!
BELOW YOU CAN FIND SOME PICTURES OF MAT CONNECTORS FROM DIFFERENT MERCEDES MODELS.
Attention! We are not able to make pictures of plugs in all models of cars. If there are no photographs of plugs from your car, you can make such photos for us. For good quality photos that we can use in the instructions we are about to give a partial refund of the purchase - more information at: contact@blshop24.com, please write ”photos for instructions” and a model of the car in the mail subject.

PROBLEM
Our experience and customer relations show that just disconnecting and connecting a good original seat mat, even if there are no errors in the airbag control unit, can cause changes in the airbag control unit. The changes might be different:
- unlocking the controller [In SD: Restraint system control unit: Control unit version - parameter "Start control module", value - "Not performed"
- change of coding
- others
EFFECT AND CAUSE
The result can be:
- flashing SRS warning (unlocked control unit)
- fault code in the airbag control unit - wrong coding of the seat occupancy sensor
- maybe other changes that we haven't come across
SOLUTION
- Flashing SRS warning light - block the airbag control unit by the procedure of INITIAL STARTUP or proper actuation. Attention! In case when an emulator is installed in the car, the initial startup procedure may not be possible to be performed - during the procedure the airbag control unit must check 2 occupancy levels of the seat - empty and occupied seat. The emulator shows only occupied seat. In such situation only adequate actuation remains - a good mechanic specialized in Mercedes should cope. We do not do such things by phone or e-mail.
-
Change seat occupancy sensor setting in the airbag control unit
-
Another solution adequate to the problem being faced.
The above steps can be performed using Star Diagnosis.
